As winters chill pervades the air urging events indoors. The Canton of Trollhaven with The Barony of the Bridge invite the dancers of the East to defy winters chill at the 22nd annual Black Rose Ball. The site is the same as the last several years: the Memorial Union Ballroom on the University of Rhode Island campus in Kingston, RI.

The day will include dance instruction starting at noon and running all afternoon. The ball will start at 7pm and end at 11pm. We thank anyone remaining on site after 11 for joining the clean up crew.

The music is again provided by the very talented Waytes of Carolinga. The site opens at 11 a.m. with dance instruction starting at noon. There will be no feast, there are a lot of places within walking distance to acquire dinner. A light dayboard will be provided. The traditional dessert buffet makes a return this year so everyone please bring something sweet.

The site fee is $5, Free with a valid student id. Reservations are not needed since there is no feast. But if you wish to send in a head count of people attending so we can have enough dayboard. Checks should be made payable to "SCA Inc. Barony of the Bridge".

Directons:

Take your best route to Interstate 95 in Rhode Island. From the north or south you take exit 3A off of 95. At the end of the ramps you'll be on Route 138 East follow for aprox. 15 miles going straight through the light at the intersections of rts.2 and 138, after that light go through two more lights, at the third take a left your on Upper College rd. Follow to stop sign at sign turn left, follow that rd to end at stop sign. Turn right, go past the police station the union will be on the left. Turn left down the hill, parking is in the lots to the right and left of the street. The Ballroom is on the second floor.
